The
Regional Public Transportation Coordination Study
was
produced to respond to the need of improving the delivery of
services in an environment of increasingly constrained
revenues. It also responds to the State of Texas and Federal
regulations. The Texas House passed H.B 3588 which contains a
new transit planning requirement focused on filling service gaps
and eliminating overlaps in service.

The Coastal Bend Public Transportation Survey
report was conducted by the Social Science
Research Center at Texas A&M University – Corpus
Christi contracted with the Coastal Bend Council
of Governments to conduct research on
demographic data and survey attitudes to help
plan for the future of public transportation in
the Texas Coastal Bend.

The Coastal Bend Inter-County Transportation
Coordination Plan is designed to ensure the full
coordination of inter-county services in the
Coastal Bend Region of Texas. In Aransas, Bee,
Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live
Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio, and San Patricio
Counties.
