BEE COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY: BEE TRANSIT
 

Bee Community Action Agency (BCAA) offers a full spectrum of programs to low-income clients, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and language disadvantaged children. Services range from weatherization programs to energy related services to home-delivered meals to emergency assistance to employment opportunities to transportation. The following information on BCAA’s transportation services supports  their mission to provide help to the community in a way that empowers people to become self-sufficient, productive and independent members of society.

Services Offered: Demand Responsive Service - wheelchair accessible transportation that has flexible routing and scheduling for curb-to-curb or point-to-point transportation; provided at the user's demand; the same as paratransit.

  • Eligibility: Services available to the general public, elderly, and disabled. Transportation provided to day care centers, public/private schools, paying bills, shopping, medical, appointments, work, and job interviews, etc.

  • Scheduling Service: Schedule a trip by calling one (1) day in advance. Passengers are asked to be ready 15 minutes before their scheduled pick up time.

  • Service Hours: Monday - Friday  8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Other hours by special arrangements.

  • Cost of Service:

    • Service within Beeville city limits: $1.00 one-way.

    • Service within Bee County: $3.00 one-way.

    • Trips from George West, Three Rivers, Refugio, Woodsboro, Calliham, and Tilden to other communities and cities are available at a cost ranging from $6.00 to $20.00 one-way; call Bee Transit for trip availability and cost.
